She was good, she was very very good! Lady Gaga certainly proved her ability to act in this remake of the epic Star is Born. Bradley Cooper is equally impressive both as the lead, and with his directorial debut and the chemistry between them - well! it certainly made great viewing.
For me although great, I did not enjoy as much as I adored Streisand and Kristofferson in the 1976 version, even though it was generally panned by the critics. I have never understood film critics - most of them have no idea what the audience really thinks!
There were certainly some impressive information coming from this latest version though - with Cooper apparently deepening his voice deliberately so that it would match his co actor Sam Elliot who played his long suffering brother. Gaga has split with her current beau, and the gossip columns are wild with 'will they wont they' articles - so hoping that they both don't get too carried away with the on screen love affair!
