My Fair Lady - what a triumph!

Transported back to our childhood, gripped to the film, we were so excited to see this amazing remake on stage.

The cast were fantastic, although Amos as the father needed to throw his voice a tad more, Eliza was lovely but missed the cat call of the voice from the film.

The set is amazing and the costumes are to die for.  The chorus were fantastic and the orchestra well, we were bowled away.  Couple that with front row middle seats (first time ever!) and we had an epic night.

2nd time around for me, and it did not disappoint.  Such a fantastic musical and totally makes sense if you love all things Oz.  Watch the film beforehand, and it will enhance your experience!

The cast are superb as usual and the voices, well what can we say?  just magnificent.

You have to see it.  It has become one of the highlights of the London theatre experience.

Beyond excited to see this on April 25th!  I am still reeling at losing so many amazing characters in the last film, but seeing the poster am hoping for some miracle or intervention by Mr Stark surely he can sort!  I have never left a cinema quite so depressed since Schindler's List to be fair, as these epics are so good they have to be real right?

I love love love them.  Humour, fear, amazing CGI, brilliant and lets face it extremely nice to look at actors (and the ladies of course!) and gripping storylines get me glued to my seat and the hours fly by.  Watch this space for our review!

Well there is such a buzz around Joseph which is now about to tour the UK starting at the Palladium very soon!  We have had the announcement that Sheridan Smith is to be the narrator, and Jason Donovan is to be Pharoah, so who is going to be the lead?  Bets are talking about Ollie Muirs, Liam Payne, the list is endless!  who do you think it will be?  click the pic to get your tickets - we do not care who is in the roles, we just love this musical!

How to train your dragon the end....humph

Loved this series of animations.  Just such a fantastic array of talent in this trilogy of films about the life of Hiccup, a Viking on a land dominated by Dragons, and his wonderful relationship with Toothless, a damaged dragon he found and then rescued.

The third film - The Hidden World - follows Hiccup through his journey to be a man and the best chief to his kingdom he can be, whilst Toothless also grows up and meets the love of his life.

It is said to be the last in the set, we are just a tiny bit heartbroken to hear this and hope they change their minds at the studios!  If you have not seen any of these, as 'they are for kids', you could not be more wrong.  Go and download the first two, and get to the pictures to see this last brilliant film.

Oh I am SO talking about Jamie!

Everyone is talking about Jamie - it's a must see!  We took our daughter for her birthday pressie, who loves all things drag queen, and it really did not disappoint.

It is funny, thought provoking, the music is great, and a generally feel good show.

Based on a true story, the musical has gone from strength to strength and is the first musical to enter the west end only 3 years after first being seen.  It follows the desire of Jamie, in his last year of school desperately wanting to be a drag queen, but not wanting to disappoint his mum, whilst dealing with the normal crazy world of secondary school with bullies, best friends (fantastic girl her voice is amazing), and a very cool teacher who is trying to support whilst following school rules.

A Star was indeed born...

She was good, she was very very good!  Lady Gaga certainly proved her ability to act in this remake of the epic Star is Born.  Bradley Cooper is equally impressive both as the lead, and with his directorial debut and the chemistry between them - well!  it certainly made great viewing.

For me although great, I did not enjoy as much as I adored Streisand and Kristofferson in the 1976 version, even though it was generally panned by the critics.  I have never understood film critics - most of them have no idea what the audience really thinks!

There were certainly some impressive information coming from this latest version though - with Cooper apparently deepening his voice deliberately so that it would match his co actor Sam Elliot who played his long suffering brother.  Gaga has split with her current beau, and the gossip columns are wild with 'will they wont they' articles - so hoping that they both don't get too carried away with the on screen love affair!
